Foundation Committees:

Yard and Garden

Purpose: to provide a “beat the winter blues” lecture series featuring regionally known, garden designers, horticulture experts, and other speakers to the public. Events are both fund raisers and educational delivery.

Plant Sale

Purpose: to manage all activities related to getting ready for, acquiring & growing plant inventory and putting on our semi-annual plant sale.

Secret Gardens Tour

Purpose: to provide access to private gardens around Jefferson County as examples of great design and management. Master Gardeners are on hand as interpreters and knowledge resources.

Purpose: management of the application and award process associated with the Grant program

Board Nominations & Leadership Training

Purpose: recruiting and nominating new board members to ensure that we maintain a fresh perspective on managing our Foundation.

Event Planning

Purpose: handling all logistics related to Foundation specific events like the Annual Board meeting.

Marketplace

Purpose: at major events, we sell Master Gardener logo wear and gardening books and accessories. The Marketplace committee manages these activities.
